Dear Friend,

Many people grow up around Christianity but never truly come to know Christ. This is often called cultural Christianity — believing in God, knowing Bible stories, or trying to be a good person, yet never experiencing a real, life‑changing relationship with Jesus. It’s easy to assume you’re saved simply because you believe God exists or because you’ve always been around church.

But the Bible teaches something deeper. You can believe in God and still not be born again. You can have religion without having a relationship. You can know about Jesus without ever surrendering your heart to Him.

Some people feel “okay” spiritually because they prayed a prayer once or try to live a moral life. But salvation is not about repeating words — it’s about a changed heart. When Jesus truly saves someone, there is evidence of that new life.

True salvation involves repentance — turning from sin — and surrender — giving Jesus your whole heart. It means trusting Him as Lord and letting Him change you from the inside out.

If you feel unsure today, that is God’s mercy drawing you into truth.

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith…” — 2 Corinthians 13:5 (KJV)

If you’ve never truly surrendered your life to Jesus, or if you’re unsure, you can come to Him right now. You can pray something like this:

“Lord Jesus, I don’t want false assurance. I want to truly know You. I believe You died for me and rose again. Please forgive me, save me, and change my heart. I surrender my life to You completely. Make me Yours. Amen.”

If you prayed that sincerely, God heard you — and He welcomes you as His child.
