If fear has been close lately, I want you to know this first: you are not strange, and you are not a disappointment to God. Fear often shows up in tender hearts that care deeply. It can sound like, “What if I fail? What if I’m not enough? What if God is tired of me?” Those questions can feel so loud—but they are not the voice of your Father.
God sees every hidden worry, every quiet tear, every moment you feel like you should be stronger than you are. He is not standing far away, waiting for you to “get it together.” He is near to you right now. His Word says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee.” He does not say that because you are never afraid, but because He never leaves.
You do not have to pretend you are okay. You do not have to push your fear down and smile over it. You can bring it to Him just as it is. Tell Him when you are scared. Tell Him when you feel small. Tell Him when you are afraid you are not enough. He already knows—and He is gentle with you.
Even when your feelings say you are alone, you are not. Even when your thoughts say you are failing, God is still holding you. Even when your heart says you are not enough, His grace is. You are loved in this very moment, exactly as you are.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, or if you are unsure, you can come to Him right now. He loves you, He sees you, and He is ready to receive you. You can pray something like this:
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. I ask You to forgive me, save me, and come into my heart. I place my trust in You alone. Thank You for loving me. Amen.”
If you prayed that sincerely, God heard you — and He welcomes you as His child.
